When you quit laughing at the title, I want you to open up your mind. I am being serious about this. I know a lot of people are going to dismiss the article from the beginning, but if you will just take the time to read it I think you will begin to see the truth.
Coaching

Coach Orgeron is outstanding. In 2004, he won the National Recruiter of the Year award. He coached under Pete Carroll when they won the 2004 National Championship. He coached on the Miami Hurricanes when they won two national championships in 1989 and 1991. He’s so good at recruiting, he’s not even afraid to go ask people displaced by Hurricane Katrina if they would like to switch schools. Or go raid other SEC powers. Or get people who are having a hard time qualifying to take some online classes at BYU.
Schedule

They are going to start off the year with an away game with Memphis. This is a game that Ole Miss will win. SEC > Conference USA. Simple math. The other non-conference games are a joke. They get LSU, Alabama, Arkansas and Florida at home which gives them a huge advantage. Only the Egg Bowl, Auburn, Georgia, and Vanderbilt are on the road. You would think that the Auburn game would be a problem until you realize that Auburn lost two games last year. Both at home. Georgia is a program that is headed downhill, so expect the Rebels to win all of their road games. This means they can drop a game to either LSU or Florida and still coast into the SEC Championship.
Players

Ole Miss is returning 4 starters to their offensive line. While the QB situation is in the air, Brent Schaeffer has the advantage while Seth Adams appears to be making some noise. Ole Miss struggled last year with their young wide receiver core, but this year the group will have more experience and according to Coach O, “The group as a whole are catching the ball better and making some plays.” Can’t argue with that. And then there is the running back. BenJarvus Green-Ellis will be back for another year at the helm. Expect him to run for 1500 yards.
The rest of the SEC is going to underestimate this team all year long. Just like teams did last year with Arkansas. Then before you know it, they’ll be in the Championship Game. And I will be laughing.
