At H2DN we consider it a sacred duty to lampoon every aspect of college football, and that includes the heart and soul of the game, the fans. Thanks to You Tube, anyone can upload a video and share it with the world. College football is more than represented, as any halfway decent player gets homemade Heisman campaign videos, and even every band (like our favorite, the Pride of West Virginia) gets their routines posted. There are some videos that are very good, and others that are so bad they are good.
Today we feature one of the latter. It begins like any good fan video, with pictures of the stadium presented in a slideshow while AC/DC plays in the background (when I think of college football, the first thing I think of is an Australian rock band of the 1970s and 80s!). However, the title “Collin the Hawkeye Baby” should be a sign that something horribly wrong is about to happen.
My favorite reaction to this comes from H2DN contributor settes, who said “what the…THAT BABY PLAYS WITHOUT A HELMET. HE DOESN’T EVEN HAVE A PROPERLY FORMED SKULL, HE SHOULDN’T BE PLAYING FOOTBALL WITHOUT A HELMET” Personally, I’m a fan of the Kirk Ferentz press conference. Isn’t it a bit premature to be talking about a baby’s contributions to your team? The NCAA is getting a call about this one, coach….
Does this video leave you wanting more? If so, you’re in luck! Apparently this one was so popular that there is a sequel. This time he uses a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AC/DC song, and even features video clips of the Hawkeye Baby. And somehow Chris Fowler sounds exactly like Kirk Ferentz.
Say what you will, but I’m eagerly looking forward to Collin Tucker’s debut at Iowa when he leads the Hawkeyes to four more years of preseason hype, disappointing conference play, and Capitol One Bowl appearances.

The funniest thing about this is the thought that Kirk Ferentz will still be around when that baby is in college, let alone two years from now.

That baby single handedly stopped Syracuse on the goal line. True story.
